The Car Repair Process

Taking your car in for service can be a very streamlined process, and we’d like to keep drivers informed on how we help them. To show you our system, our team at Andy Mohr Collision Center has created this guide to our car repair process. We work hard to keep Plainfield, Indianapolis, Fishers, and Bloomington drivers informed on the status of their car repairs.

Scheduling an Appointment

The start of the repair process is setting up an appointment. You have a choice to come into our collision center or contact us online or over the phone. When you get in touch with us, we’ll be able to give you an estimate on the cost of the service.

When you come in on the scheduled day, you’ll sign off on the repair and we’ll get to work. For smaller maintenance needs like an oil change, we can potentially start the work that day, but for larger repairs we may need to order parts.

Ordering Parts and Starting Repairs

If you have a larger repair need, we’ll likely have to order the required auto parts, in which case you’ll need to wait for them to arrive before bringing your car back to us. When the parts are brought in, we’ll get in touch with you to come back in so we can start work as soon as possible.

It’s here that you have the option to make use of one of our available rental vehicles. We’ll set you up with a car you can use through the duration of our repair process so you can keep up with your schedule.

When we start repairs, we’ll disassemble your car as necessary in order to reach the part that needs replacement. It’s here where we’ll find anything else that needs work, and we’ll get back to you on the status of the car.

Reassembly and Final Touch Ups

Once we’ve gone through your vehicle and thoroughly repaired it, we’ll start reassembling it. After the reassembly is complete, we’ll test the vehicle out to make sure everything is running as it should.

Now that repairs are done, we can begin the process of touching your vehicle up to make it look nice and clean. We can add various paints and sealants to keep your vehicle free of any dirt and grime, or you can choose vehicle detailing service. Additionally, we’ll give your car a thorough wash to have it looking nice and shiny.

When we’re done making sure your car looks as good as it runs, we’ll get in touch with you again to tell you that your car is ready. Simply come into our body shop, pay for the repairs, and you’ll be all ready to head out in your newly repaired vehicle.
